Well Max is finally a player and what a great guitar it turned out to be.
Here are the specifications.
1. The body is a Showcase lightweight 2-piece center join alder reverse orientation Strat.
2. The neck is a custom order single piece Vintage Modern high grade Birdseye maple, 1 5/8, bone nut, 59 Round Back, reverse orientation CBS with 6100 frets. It has Tone Pro’s Kluson tuners on it.
3. The finish is Mac-Lac pigmented white lacquer with McFadden’s clear gloss nitro over it.
4. The pickups are special order Fralin Hendrix/SRV from Callaham and are cryogenically frozen. They read 5.62K on the neck, 5.64K on the middle and the bridge is 6.58K. My pickup of choice!!!
5. The pots are from RS Guitar works with the volume being the 280K super pot and the tone pots 250K.
6. The capacitor is a real 1963 ceramic disk.
The tremolo assembly is a mixture of a Callaham plate, DeTemple block and high end 1954 reproduction saddles.
This turned out to be an exceptional guitar! The tone pots are not as dynamic as the ones on my main strat but this guitar will see a lot of stage time. I like the feel of this neck better than any of the guitars I have built.
Thanks for the inspiration Max! :icon_thumright:
PS No you and Fernando cannot have the guitar. :laughing7:
