yeah its a little skull mirror thingie. it snapped of my car and just fit perfectly on the top horn. that solo was a hughes and kettner switchblade with dirt/chorus/delay. chorus helps solos cut really well. shame you dont like the rest of the song, to each their own i guess

imminentG - hahaha thanks man, i was trying to be diplomatic. i thought about being a super-dick, but i like how this is about the only forum around that doesnt have constant flaming, so i thought i outta keep it that way. plus my therapist says that... ah never mind! haha what kinda stuff you into? that song was tracked late 2008/early 2009 so its a bit old hat now. we have heaps of variety, from thrashy to rocky to reggae. all original too. and not a single song without distortion either :evil4:
mully - thanks heaps dude! check out our myspace (yeah i know, so old school). we have a bunch of random shite on youtube as well, most of its old though. i really wanna get all our new stuff recorded (got an entire album written and waiting to record), but we don;t have the funds. just got ourselves a manager, so we're trying to generate enough buzz to get some money behind us. but we make a lot of noise for a 3-piece, and we have our first major headline show at a big venue coming up this weekend , and our first festival in april. i'll make sure i get it filmed and get some live stuff recorded properly. :icon_thumright:

DBU: i especially like your soloist, the really tight flame abnd maple board contrasts really well to the background/you and just "pops". im diggin it. :rock-on:

But you'd laugh at the amounts of hype I generate over video-game music. Not blips and beeps, but the REAL COOL old OriginalSoundTracks from all my favorite games.
It's usually MegamanX, TMNTiv, or Street Fighter.

hey no worries man, like i said, im not here to flame. thats your opinion and you're entitled to it :icon_thumright:
im diggin the Gatton, it sounds like the stuff i grew up on. my mum was in a blues band for years, so i was around the pub scene since about 10 year old, and it reminds me of the type of blues i like (tough blues). im gonna guess you're an SRV fan? i dig the SRV too. actually, i dig any guitar-based blues stuff. i still raid my old folks collection for the big blues compilations they have lying around. there's a lot to be said about it. we have a few bluesier number in our setlist, but nothing thats recorded as yet.
hahaha i dig the passion for video games, and i definitely know what you mean about the old school arcade style stuff, it has a certain edge about it that's just funky. i also am trying to stretch my palate to include different genres; one song we have has a complete reggae chord/rhythm in the verses, and then has a sludgey grunge style chorus, and a heavy blues bridge. so i like to mash it all together and see what interesting things come out.
