Making a 4x2: Need opinions.

Thinking of taking a CBS and tuning it into a 4x2.  Curious on what you think about this.  I did not measure the EXACT placement of the hi E and B string tuners but this is what I was thinking for placement.

what do you think??  I have two options created (excuse my fill).  I am looking to see which one give me the best straight string pull

I have done it too.  Not too hard.

Of the two you show, I like the staggered look of the first one.

thanks all.  there is a third choice...keeping the holes staggered but closer to the nut.
This will go on the LPS I re-sprayed.
