Since many years this has been my absolute favorite pickup, and I've tried lots of different Dimarzios, Duncans, Fender, Gibson, EMG and even a custom made to "my specs"... That last one is great, but for some reason I still keep coming back to this Razor THT Power humbucker.

http://www.allparts.com/THT-Razor-Power-Pickup_p_3616.html

I have no idea how these are made or what magnet or how many winds and stuff... None of that is said in the description.

What I'm looking for is basically this exact pickup but in WHITE. I've emailed Allparts with no answer about that, if they could make a white alternative.

So do I really have to custom order an expensive pickup and giving this Razor to whatever guy making the pickup? It seems a little expensive just to get it in white.

But yeah, the question is if it's even possible in the first place...

Razor THT basically sounds like an EMG 81 but with more bottom, and not as tight as the EMG, obviously.
But it has the same "tone", so to speak. VERY VERY VERY mid-heavy, which is super cool.

I believe there are folks out there who make various colored stick-on tops you can put on pickups.

Just google "bobbin toppers" and you'll find that people make various kinds of stickers you can put on a humbucker to change the colour.

That's what I was thinking of.  COuldn't remember the name the guy's marketing them under.

Painting pickups is very common. Just be aware that if the paint doesnt stick, it may chip.

Buy a can of Krylon and some masking tape, and get to it.

So, years ago, I painted my computer keyboard.  I researched it a bit, and many people have done this, and apparently vinyl dye works a lot better than spray paint. You can get it at some auto supply stores; it's what they use for car dashes so it sticks to plastic and is pretty durable. I went with a silver color, instead of beige or black.  I used my keyboard for years, and the letters came off the keys but the silver dye never came off the body of the keyboard (it was one of those early Microsoft ergonomic ones.)

I'm wondering if vinyl dye would work well for pickups.

I've heard that Seymour Duncan's custom shop will make replicas of pickups, if you want to go that route.

That might be taken into consideration! But it could be expensive.

Right now I'm actually announcing for used Gibson 500t, SD Invader and hope to find some I can try out. I've used most of those pickups already, but never tested them after each other with the same setup.
