ha i never noticed that, don't stop is instanlty recognizable and maybe i noticed that some of the other songs sound like each other in the past but never made the connection to journey, or noticed just how many songs use that progression,

In fairness, a lot of those just had that [very popular] progression in the chorus, where different tempos, different keys, and different melodies.  It's not nearly as blantant as the Satriani/Coldplay thing.  What's next, someone invented G major?
