Line 6 Pocket Pod through front of a tube amp?

My pocket pod took a sh$t, a while back when my bud plugged in the wrong power adapter, luckily I remembered I opted for the extended warranty where I purchased it so I'm waiting to get it back.  I'm low on funds and selling off my Blackheart Killer ant to get something louder since I'm now jamming with some new friends.  I was originally thinking of buying a handsome devil, Jet City, Blackstar or maybe even a little giant.  I love the killer ant but it's not loud enough for the drums and I'm on a low budget and still wanting a tube amp.  On my killer ant I'm running an overdrive pedal in front to boost the gain and it sounds absolutely fantastic.  I was thinking of doing the same with one of their larger amps.  I thought I might use the pod for my delay, reverb, and maybe chorus too, but without an effects loop I'm wondering how it would work?  Anyone running a POD through the front end of a tube amp?

you can but you gotta use a program on it that does not use an amp model or speaker sim. otherwise it sounds like garbage. with the full sized pods you can do this, not sure about the pocket pods.

I used to do this with my Digitech pedal.  It sounds fine.  Just be careful and lower the output of the POD.  I think this practice contributed to frying my preamp tubes over time.  Alternately, you can run it into the effects return and bypass the preamp tubes altogether (don't use the effects send: Gtr -> POD -> Effects Return on Amp).
