Warmoth surprised me with early delivery of body & neck!
I went with swamp ash body for the interesting grain; the transparent yellow looks golden, as I'd hoped. The neck/body combo was taken in natural light and the colors are truer than the body-only shots, which were taken at night and look redder.
Gorgeous roasted maple neck with Indian rosewood board.
I'm VERY satisfied with the purchase. The workmanship is top shelf. The only way I could tell it isn't a one-piece body is looking at the end grain. Incredible matching of the 2 pieces. It's fairly light but I don't have a scale to weigh it. No matter.
Fender vintage '66 pups, chrome badass bridge, & chrome lollipop tuners still to come. And Labella flats.
Just posting this stuff to get the juices flowing; will follow up as things move along.
