I'm using my new Warmoth 7/8 Strat (and a Seagull acoustic, and a Gretch hollowbody elec)

We use a Behringer 24 track console and have some tube preamps (ART, Presonus)
We have a couple Comp's (Alesis, BBE)
Recording to an Alesis 24 track hard drive recorder.

no computer digital audio workstation, but maybe we'll be able to hook that into the mix one of these days.

 :sad1:

BTW, the loud crackling noise is from the camera video, not the song recording, I didn't know how to mute that with the limited software I had for video....

The music and recording are very good. The video is comically bad, as if deliberately so. Has the look and feel of the desperately artistic. But, I'm no pro, so don't pay any attention to me.

:headbang1:
The video was an afterthought.  just a way to get it on youtube without having to look at the band's name for 4 minutes...

thanks for the comment about the song. We are pleased with how it turned out. We'll probably do another mix or two before we move on to another song.

I can certainly appreciate that. The audio on YouTube is often pitiful at best, so having something to watch is icing on whatever cake you're getting.

I wonder about that sometimes, though. For instance, your audio was not bad at all. Makes me think that YouTube isn't at fault as much as some would have us believe.

It's a nice piece. But, there's nothing quite like a recording to make you painfully aware of how you sound/look. I did a video of installing threaded inserts in a neck last week, and it showed how necessary scripts, planning, practice, a good camera person, etc. are. Seems fine while you're doing it, but in review it can be pretty embarrassing.
