This is an idea I think would sell. A double cutaway L5S! With all the same options as the current single cutaway. Maybe even an arched top option for hollow/semi hollow versions.

But more importantly, I just like the double cutaway idea.

Well, if they set up a routing station to make carved tops, they can make both carved L5S and Tele bodies!  :icon_thumright:

Then we both win!

Not that simple... they already make carved-top LPs and VIPs.  A routing station is not the issue, the issue is programming the CNC router.  Still it seems like hiring one guy to program the router would open up a lot of new possibilities...  :party07:

a guy I know did it, make a program for a carved top tele, es335 flat and carved, but I think, if I read what he told me correctly, that warmoth didnt offer enough money for his programs, so now I just buy the wood here, join them at a local luthery, and he carves the whole thing together.

all in all, a les paul is with him less than 250$, wood and carving and all.

Orpheo, $250 for a Les Paul body?  Do they have Fender/Warmoth-compatible necks?
