I have been building guitars for a long, long time and seldom kept one for myself.  Here is one which I have planned to be my special companion whenever I get a call to jam or sit in with a band.  It is basically a guitar featuring everything I will ever need which turned out to be minimal.  It is a Warmoth Swamp Ash body and plain Maple/Rosewood fretboard neck including Butterscotch Blond finishing.

Tuners - Schaller original G-Series with cream vintage style knobs
Neck pickup - Lindy Fralin P90 Soapbar with black cover
Bridge pickup - Lindy Fralin P90 Dogear 10% overwound in black
Bridge - Pigtail aluminium wraparound bridge with TonePros locking studs

Push-Pull tone pot to switch both pickups on in series for hum cancelling and thicker tone when the selector switch is in the bridge pickup position.

Indeed, love the minimalist aspect of it.  Great looking guitar, which is probably overshadowed by it's tone.
