Just finished up a bass we call the JazzMan. It's named after the pickup that Nordstrand custom made to our specs (two differently wound noiseless J pickups under a MM cover). We will try to get some recordings done soon. Body is chambered swamp ash with a unique quilt maple top. Finish is dark tung oil and paste wax. Stacked knobs are for a four band Audere preamp. Balance control pans between the two halves of the pickup. One of the photos shows the pickup guts. The strings are LaBella Supersteps.

Steve, I don't know how I missed this bass.  I love your work.

I learned at least three things from studying your work.
1.  Warmoth.  I had not heard of them before you.
2.  Audere.  Same.
3.  Babicz bridges.

For that, thank you.

Really cool stuff.  Especially the pickup.
