This one's for me!
I've been dreaming about a white-black strat for a VERY long time!
So many times has my attention got destroyed by other things that empties my pockets but finally, it's going to be MINE!!!! :cool01:

Roasted maple neck with rosewood fretboard without inlays, I will finish the headstock into black gloss myself! Alder body from Showcase with alpine white finish, Original Floyd Rose, and it will also have a Starstruck custom pickup from Peter Naglitsch, and two singlecoils... Whatever they may be. Toneriders maybe. Haha

I'm also hired to build a couple of partscasters for two friends!

First out is for Robbin from Lector which is a band I play drums in.
He plays guitar and sings in that band.
From Warmoth he ordered a roasted maple neck and we'll part together some oiled mahogny Hosco body, I'll install Gotoh Floyd, and other stuff we haven't decided yet.

And the other guy is Poppe from the band Madhouse who I am producing a debut album for. He tried some of my guitars and was very impressed with how well they played.
He's getting a neck just like Robbin, roasted maple neck and rosewood fretboard.
Just like above I will install a Gotoh Floyd on a Hosco body (black) and EMG 81/SLV/SLV , even tho the picture shows some passives... But that has been changed to actives now.

Haha yeah, this will be SO MUCH FUN!

I mean, I enjoy screwing together the parts just as much as playing them.

Sure, my friends only really afforded the Warmoth neck and went with cheaper alternatives for the bodies here in Sweden, but I'm sure it will be pretty good for them too.

My first warmoth I bought unfinished a few years ago and I have tried finishing bodies and necks since then I have realized and I'm NOT THAT GOOD at spraying  :toothy12: so it will be really nice to get a professional Warmoth finish and then on top of that, I can just go ahead and put it together once the stuff arrives  :headbang1: save for the black headstock tho, but that's a quick 3-day fix I think

That does sound like a lot of fun! I envy you putting together guitars using other people's money. :icon_jokercolor:

This!! Those are going to be killers when they're together. Be sure to post pics man.

I dont really take any extra charge, they just pay for all the parts and I build it for the thrill :)

Awesome news, I think your two colleagues will be well pleased. I myself have been dreaming of a reverse headstock roasted maple neck with Rosewood fretboard....... :toothy10:

Go for it dude :)

This will be the first time I ever try a neck without glossy finish.

Personally I prefer the look of a solid color back of the neck (like a white back of neck matching the white body), and I have almost no handsweat (I've never had to wipe off any finger gunk ever! Unless somebody else with greasy fingers try my guitars  :sad1: ) but still it will be an interesting experience.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have one "raw" neck and a couple guitars with the satin finished maple with dark fretboards. Cagey here got me to try the raw neck, which in my case is Bubinga but I have heard nothing but good things about roasted maple. I went with Bubinga for that particular strat because the pickup winder I utilized did a set for a guy who did a Buninga neck tele and I liked the results. As for feel, not having a finish on a type of wood that does not require one to maintain it's sanity feels real smooth. Enjoy yours when it all comes together.  :occasion14: And I totally dig the HSS strat thing, got two of them!
