I do like the blues brothers movie and even some of the album tracks they released quite a bit, but as far as movies for me it isn't the best. I would say personally "Apocalypse Now" is definitely in my top ten. It combines Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness"and elements of "Lord Jim" against a backdrop of the Vietnam war and takes you on a journey into the battle raging in every human heart. Much more profound than Blues Brothers IMO. Blues Brothers just isn't in the same league with Stanley Kubrick, Orson Wells, Francis Ford Coppolla,Martin Scorsese etc.
