Industry flame maple

Can I just say that I was in GC today looking around since I was in the area and saw one of those Epiphone Slash Les Pauls. I was super pumped to see it because I'm trying to that color on my telecaster build, and I basically went there in hopes of seeing one. So anyways I walked over to it and was, blatantly, extremely dissapointed. I swear it had like Grade A flame maple. Like maybe 3 square inches of it was actually flamed, the rest of the top was just basically plain maple. It was ridiculous. Like how can they even advertise that as "flamed maple". Another reason to love the big W.

Well there are different grades.

Well I know, but I figured you would at least put something on a guitar that was like 3A. You know something that had somewhat consistent figuring.

I would prefer a LITTLE less flame then that...

I like subtlety, and while those 5A flames are beautiful, it's just not for me.

Yeah that was what I was looking at. But I don't know. It was basically a plain maple top, no where NEAR as figured as that picture. I just thought it was odd. I dont know :dontknow:

With that finish, at least 2A+ is needed just for the right effect.
