Now this fella is an independent thinker. Anyone on the boards? Care to enlighten us what you were going for?

That's kind'a cool.  Won't get any Strat "quack", but probably gets lots of other great tones.

He'll defnitely get the strat quack, as I'm sure he has coil splits & phase switches on his guitar.

Or perhaps he's not quite so much an independent thinker as he is inspired by one:

To me, those sorts of guitars are the whole point of using companies like Warmoth. I figure if you want a vintage-correct, bog-standard Strat, Tele, LP, whatever, then you might as well just go buy one of the reissues the Fender Custom Shop has made (or Gibson, or whichever brand it is you're after). To me the whole point of Warmoth is you can have something made that's a little different from the norm, whether it's a fancy dye finish or an odd pickup selection, exotic woods, whatever.

HHS? Makes sense to me. Exactly what Warmoth is here for.

Exactly  - I just hadn't seen that combination before. I mean we got lots of stuff that isn't commercially available but still runs in common trends (p90 telecasters and such), guitars that are no longer in production, or not made in certain configurations. I'm not familiar with Garcia's instruments (and they do make a WGD body btw)

Yeah, I didn't notice those at first.

I agree. At least in my case, I learned how to tinker more so for the fact that I could have something different than everyone else out there. That's why I applaud anyone who reverses the angle of a bridge pickup or a headstock, or orders a strat-style pickup layout on an SG body - have it your way, and enjoy the fruits or your labor. If you wanna be like everyone else, go shop at Guitar Center, where damn near everyone else shops anyway.

Well , Used warmoth purposely for getting the purple colour more than anything, as 'decent' purple basses are a bugger to find hehe,
But i found out how good raw necks are in the process, and got a body shape that either isn't around much anymore, or isn't used by most people  :dontknow:
