While my Warmoth guitars will always have a big place in my heart (and guitar rack!), I will now happily announce that Solar Guitars has taken me in as an official artist  :icon_biggrin:

Ola Englund is on vacation but will update the homepage with new artist pages soon.
But here's our "rockstar idol photos" showed in advance  :icon_jokercolor: :icon_biggrin:

We bought and recieved our guitars a couple of weeks ago and I can't be happier with the guitar. It's a good guitar with fantastic pickups, so good that I will actually re-record a couple of upcoming albums to fly the Solar flag high.
Of course, with the Evertune, it will not take forever to re-record all the guitar parts  :icon_biggrin:

So yeah, this of course means I can't really use my "old pals" live anymore, but I wouldn't be here with Warmoth! :hello2:

I haven't done much with the guitar yet since I got it, but here's a couple of Riot and Judas Priest covers, and a little "riffing demo". :headbang1:

While I'm 100% happy with this endorsement I can also say that it's a bit bittersweet to leave my battered and trusted Warmoth at home when going on the minitour tour, but I'm sure you understand  :turtle:

A couple of upcoming gigs:

And a couple of more local shows as well that don't have any "fancy posters" to show  :icon_biggrin:

Congratulations Brother! Just cause you're playing a different axe doesn't mean you can't stop bye and say "Hi"  when you have the time, just to let us know how things are going. Wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!
:rock-on:

This is great! Congratulations! You've clearly worked very hard to get to this point, and deserve the perks. Fine work, and please don't be a stranger!

I see you'll be playing with Manilla Road. I've known Mark Shelton for decades and did his guitar maintenance for many years and even built him a custom guitar way back when. Up the hammers!

Congratulations.

Did I read it correctly, you get to be an official artist but still you had to buy the guitars?

Thanks everyone!

Endorsement deals SELDOM offers free gear, unless you're Steve Vai or Metallica, basically. They can probably ask for anything and get it for free delivered in with a golden helicopter to wherever they are located at the moment.

But yeah, we do get a discount when buying Solar guitars.  :icon_thumright:

THAT is awesome. I have seen that guitar on live clips and it's INSANELY MUCH METAL. :headbang4: good work!

Very good cover on Thundersteel, especially considering you played everything and sang. I bought this album when it came out, it's a great LP from the first to the last track. My favorite of the band for sure.

Manilla Road & Tankard took me back 25+ years... I admit I didn't know Tankard are still active. I hope you'll enjoy touring with all these bands.

Different generations, but it just shows how incredible the music is withstanding the test of time!  :icon_biggrin:

By the way, as you noticed I did a "original solo" on Thundersteel, but I did cover the original solo a few months earlier.
On a... Warmoth guitar  :icon_biggrin:

Nice. Looks like guitars I would like myself hardtails with good access. White is a great color too. I Saw Chon Brothers tour 4 bands lots of guitars and I will say under stage lighting the pastel or white guitars look best. Black guitars just look like shadow and you can't really get a good look and sunburst or fancy paintjobs look like noise you just can't make them out well in the audience. Erick's guitar was black that just did not look good but Mario's was pastel purple with a white pickguard. Anyways happy for you and keep on rocking.

Not sure I would call Evertune "hardtail", but Evertune is awesome, and both guitarists having Evertune is even better, it always sounds perfectly in tune.

And yeah, white or other bright guitars just makes it better on stage for me personally too  :icon_thumright:

I just took a look at the Solar guitars website. I think I read something on TGP about it. They seem to be made at the same factory that Rob Chapman has guitars built in the far east and Solar is an Ola Englund brand. Ola has a Youtube channel but other than that I don't know who he is.

Yep they are, but it's definitely not a cheapo low-tier guitar at all.

Probably not.

But who is Ola Englund, I've seen his Youtube channel and I know he seems to specialize in djent or metal type tones. Is he mainly known because of Youtube or is he in a metal band of some kind?

Dude, this is tremendous news!

You should also contact AR @ Elixir Strings.  They will go $5 per pack on a case.
