Seeing as how I don't have an LP, something like this would be a good addition. With the second one I'd probably go with a tobacco sunburst or a brown dye.

I'd be up for myself choosing 3 or 4 bodies and a couple paint options then putting them up for a vote. Unless that perfect Strat body was to drop into circulation in the Showcase then all votes are out the door. HAHA!!! But seriously, I don't mind people involved having a hand in the decision making but in all fairness to everyone involved, I paid for the chance to win a build, not to get stuck with something that doesn't fit my preferences. I surely won't chime in if someone else wins unless they specifically ask for suggestions.

Like I said, I don't trust you jokers. I'd probably get stuck with a neon green telecaster with hot pink pickup covers and an ebony neck. Good God, it makes me sick just thinking about it. HAHAHAHA!!!!

I'd limit the board's choices to two body options: Musiclander or Carved Top LPS

The neck would have to be my choice, because it's much more personal, though I may take wood options into consideration.

The musiclander would be 25.5, the LPS would be Baritone.

No offense, but I'd be the one playing it, so I'd want something I'd be satisfied with...  And I'm kinda picky  :laughing7:

Rear routed strat in trans blue, satin chrome hw, white pickups & knobs, with a white pinstripe pg outline (I've thought about this one),

Seven string baritone flattop,

Twelve-string ?? with tuners on both ends (will take some figuring out),

or doubleneck Pbass/Strat hardtail for songwriting/looping.

Letting the board choose is a really cool idea, except my dice pickup switch knob would get vetoed hehe I'd like to build a strat, standard tele, or a jaguar...all of my guitars have humbuckers, so it'd be nice to have a different sounding machine...but looking at those lp bodies...I'm starting to want that too heh

I'd build a Thinline because that's the only guitar I really need at the moment apart from a real hollowbody. Body wood and pickups are all I'd ask for opinions on, I've got the rest figured out

I'll have money left over for a nice neck.. and some pups.

Hey Mully, this LP is where the paint work on Burn Unit came from. Amber dye and slight brown burst over, then I added the transparent brown back. When I saw that body I told Warmoth, there it is!!! :icon_thumright:

Mmmmm, I don't know, young Jedi. You know I think very highly of you, Max, but I'd have to say that the money should go towards a complete build. If you plan on just finishing off something, if it was me, I'd finish it off and give the rest of the cash to the second place person to do a complete build. That's just me though. We all kind of went into this with the idea that the money would be going towards a Warmoth build. As much as I would like to win I would be just as happy for someone that hasn't really had the opportunity to do one yet.

I'd either get a solid pau ferro(sp?) P neck and ash '72 P body or a solid wenge Tele bass neck with a basswood or alder '54 P body.. Either body in some pearl paint job. Heck, if it's like $2k I'd get both and just blow it all on wood, then nickle and dime the hardware.
