Iceman Switch Wiring

I am assembling my Iceman project and I ran into an issue.  About the build, it is a Iceman with 3-way toggle (horn), S-X-S pickups, TOM, V-V-T pots.  The pickups are beefy DiMarzios - ProTrack/Air Norton S.

The problem I am having is with the depth of the neck single coil rout.  The switch wire passes from the top of the rout to the bottom and the 3-conductor 22-gauge shielded cable (same as I would use with a Gibson) does not fit.  Even 3 smaller RG-174 would be a problem (I always go shielded).

Does anyone have tricks for this?  Or should I rout a wire channel under the pickup?

I've had that problem before. I get out mean ol' Mr. Routerbeast and teach the body a lesson in tolerance. A 1/4" mortising bit is the weapon of choice.

Don't accept your body the way it is! Teach tolerance by mutilating it with sharp objects until it conforms. Also don't worry about the hypocrisy of doing that. The media says it's fine. :blob7:
