I wish I had money....

That looks absolutely horrid. It's like Home Depot Poplar poorly stained. I'd rather have a proper Walnut body if I wanted that look. Otherwise a nice transparent brown on Alder/Ash, for tone or weight.

Though AprioriMark has a nice brown stained Poplar Soloist with a Walnut/Flamed Maple neck.

At $150, it's not much of a deal, either. There are several brand spankin' new Alder and Poplar Strat bodies in the Showcase for $110 to $125. Wouldn't need to strip 'em or spend half a lifetime sanding 'em down, either. Of course, they don't come with a free output jack (a $3 value!), but one could be purchased out of the $25 to $40 savings.

$125

You can get an unfinished Alder strat for $155 from the showcase, and they'll route any standard routes free.

Hmmm.... May be lack of experience, but I love that finish. I get that it's not worth the money though, I hadn't even thought about the price.

Experience has nothing to do with taste.
In any case, it's an uneven, blotchy stain job. Just look at all the funkiness in the end grain!
Do a search for a properly finished brown body, or real Black Walnut. It's much classier.

This thing absolutely rocks, too.

the other problem with it, is that it is clearly a fender shape, but it is not made by fender.. I think that is blasphemy! how can you pretend to be a fender when you're not?? it seems like that 'warmoth' brand has no fantasy and original ideas.. it's time for them to come up with some of their own new original ideas... ridiculous!!!

:dontknow: ......  by putting a stupid fender sticker on  :icon_jokercolor:

that is either an insult to fender or an insult to Warmoth.. (depending on who you ask)

:dontknow:  I just don't think it's right to put a fender logo on a Warmoth neck .... just me.

I'm proud of my Warmoth's and would never stick a fender logo on them.
Think it'll completely ruin the tone if I did  :laughing7:

One day I will get around to putting some Warmoth logos on mine.  :guitarplayer2:

Get a decal made in the 60s! everybody knows that modern decals suck tone! not to mention sustain...

This just made my day.

The tuners are black, so they will absorb tone, but the bridge is chrome so it will reflect tone.  It might be a push on the hardware's effect on the tone.  Wait, the strap buttons are chrome.  Nope, that thing will reflect tone like no other.  Good thing it doesn't have a Fender decal on it, that would just squeeze the life out of it.
