& I thought it was tough where I'm at...

I just read this article (linked from another site).  This is insane...  No thanks, I think I'll stay where I am at...

Thankfully for them it doesn't rain much in Vegas. But what will happen to them if there's an almighty downpour? And what about vermin and disease?

Why can't they collectively rent a big house or a couple of trailers? Or do they owe debts and do not want to register a permanent fixed address in fear the debt collectors will find them?

They seem - from the collection of stuff they have - that they can afford some things, so it's not like they don't have any money. Just maybe not enough to rent a proper place by themselves.

The one guy with the nice spread had arrest warrants, so no mailing address is great.

Those were some of the healthiest looking homeless people I've ever seen.

Speaking of tough, the chicks are so tough around here, even their crabs have herpes!~

For two decades, Las Vegas and the Phoenix/Scottsdale area were the fastest growing areas in America - I even knew a few people in the restaurant trade who moved there because the cooking jobs were so cushy - the casinos didn't need to make money from the food sales because the stooge-people just gave it to them instead! A line cook or sous chef could (supposedly) buy a house, make their car payments etc. However, those places are 400 miles from any food or water, and they're built entirely on paper money, not genuine assets. Uh-oh.... can't eat spiders....
