Hi Guys ,  :guitarplayer2:

I just recently order a neck and body from Warmoth. The guitar im assembling was based from Stratocaster.

I need some help from you guys, who have some knowledge in  calculating the correct position of the Nut Slot for Fender LSR NUT in respect to the middle position of the neck
which is 12 3/4 (323.8mm).
What i know is the LSR nut has to be .219 (5.562mm) in width x .105-.115 deep @ center..
Im not very sure were to take the measure of  12 3/4 (323.8mm) in respect to the position of the slot width. I know this is critical to be able to achieve the correct intonation.

1. I know to get the correct intonation I have to measure from “12th FRET” a  distance of 12 3/4 (323.8mm) towards the NUT and measure if from the edge
but this is the case if im using a standard nut. WHAT if the NUT is LSR and the NECK that i purchased is not "PRECUT"

2. Im not ver sure when i measure from the “12th FRET” a  distance of 12 3/4 (323.8mm) towards the NUT where should I get the reference incase of LSR NUT?
Do still have to measure it from the edge of .219 (5.562mm) width? Or I need to minus .094 from 12.75 (12 3/4)?

I have some drawing i plan myself can you pls advise is this correct cheers!

I appreciate if you can advise me on this matter and I don’t want scrap the neck.  :headbang1:

I just measured mine which was cut by W. From the center of the first fret to the front of the LSR nut measures 1.336".

I measured the width of the fret, divided it by two, then measured to the front of the nut. Then added the two dimensions. I'm calling the front of the nut the edge closest to the first fret. This should work with whatever size frets you have. The fine tuning of the intonation will then be at the bridge.

I hope this helps.

OH, wait.. Did you not order the neck setup for the LSR?

EDIT* Ok I found my long straight edge ruler. From the 12th fret to the center of the LSR measured 12.75. My LSR measured more like .22 and 12.75 did land at .11 from the edges. I think your [0.125] and [0.094] measurements should be 0.11 each.

Thanks Buddy for ur detailed explanation. Incase my Fender LSR is also .22 then should be ok. I will follow ur advise. Thanks alot cheers :occasion14:  :guitarplayer2:
