I have lived in STL my whole life, its a great town. We are proud of our cardinals.  Game six of 2011 World series may have been the greatest game in world series history. What you will probably not hear on the news is the aftermath of the World Series win. Roits? None. Celebrations everywhere! Store windows broken by celebration-zero. Arrests? Well there were a handfull of arrests for public intoxication, but that is it. Respect for our town and our team.  Thanks to the Texas Rangers and their fans for an exciting series without regard to the outcome.  See ya next year!

STL fans really are the best in baseball.  I lived near there for 5 years.  Used to skip school to go watch double headers at the old Busch stadium, and my teacher endorsed it.  My favorite part of game 6 was when whatshisname (the Texas third baseman) was chasing a foul ball, and the fan in his way politely leaned back (instead of throwing something to distract him... ahem Ranger fans).  The Texas fellow thanked him, and the fan leaned in to say, "you're doing a great job."  And he meant it.  Most St Louis fans I talked to were honestly proud of that Rangers team.  It was a great series.

My wife is awesome, and she's only limiting my buying to limit my projects.  I'm under doctor's orders to relax more and fill my days with less stuff on a timeline.  I actually appreciate it a lot; she's always let me do whatever I want with my time, and this is something I need.  Apologies for making her sound like the bad guy when she's being awesome.
