...and all I can say is bloody Hell what a show! Hands down the best concert I've ever seen. Pyro, explosions, fireworks, theatrics, the works. Plus they sounded great; heavy, tight and LOUD! I know Rammstein is largely ignored in North America (especially in the U.S., where people won't listen to bands that don't sing in English--don't be offended, it's true), but I was a huge fan until not that long ago (then my interest sorta waned), and last night's show made me feel bad about neglecting them in recent years.

Maybe my love of Rammstein actually belongs in the guilty pleasures thread...  :laughing7:

While Rammstein is monotone, simple and vulgar, they for sure know how make a show! I've always said that Rammstein might not be the best thing out there musically, but damn do they shine live. It's one of those bands you just have to see live to get what they're about, it's just mental.

Absolutely right. They don't reinvent the wheel, but they put on a helluva show. To be honest, I often prefer dead-simple 4/4 metal to a lot of the more technical stuff that's out there, but it's a fine line between simple and boring.

In college, I used to listen to Rammstein while doing homework; because I had no idea what he was saying, I wasn't distracted by the lyrics.  :laughing7:

plus the guys stage presence is HUGE, like mega insane, he is a scary man to behold...

I don't know what that is, but it's really cool...and sorta creepy at the same time.

Well, who watched "the music video" for a certain :laughing3: song from their last album, Liebe ist Für Alle Da? :laughing7:
And yes, it's NOT work-safe :laughing7:

I beleive i read somewhere that he has a wire going through a peircing or something... to a light bulb in his mouth.

yeah, I saw them years ago in Australia when they did "Big Day Out" music festival. They were completely mind blowing.

Hey I was there too last night!

I left about half way through because I was at the very back and I'm just 5'8 so I couldn't see at ALL.

But they played all my favorite songs at the beginning so the first half was amazing :hello2:. Did you go see Iron Maiden last weekend Erogenous?

Too bad about not being able to see. I was way at the back too, but up on a hill so I had a good view of the stage and the big screens. And I sure did go see Maiden, rain and all! I also went to see Rush and Vulgaires Machins, Social D and Billy Talent. Best Festival d'été ever!  :headbang1:

Haha, maybe we saw each other without knowing. I had to miss a lot of good shows because Quebec is an 8 hour drive for me, so I only went the 2 weekends for Maiden and Rammstein. :occasion14:

I know what you mean. I used to live way out in the Gaspé, which is far away from everything...

And it's possible we saw each other, though in a crowd that big the odds are pretty slim. However, you may have noticed me if you were nearby; I was wearing a bright yellow t-shirt with a picture of a clown throwing up a rainbow. Everyone nearby used me as a marker to find their way back from the beer tent.  :laughing7:

EDIT
Found a pic of said t-shirt (because I realized how weird it sounded from the description I gave):

I'd dearly love to see a Rammstein concert. Was Flake walking on a treadmill? Did you hear any mistakes from anyone? Any particularly impressive moments?

Yeah he was walking on a treadmill somewhere in the beginning, can't remember what song though. Actually I think he walked on it for like 2 songs :laughing11:

Yeah he started walking on it after Till threw him in the bathtub and doused him in sparks (!), and he stayed on it until the end of the show. Actually, at the very end, he got in a rubber dinghy and "sailed" out into the crowd. As I said: fantastic show.  :headbang:
