I have ordered a couple of new Bare Knuckle Pickups.

I got some money for christmas, and thought that this would be a great oppurtunity to change pickups in my candy tangerine strat.

I ordered a set of Miracle Man humbuckers. I'm looking forward to put these harmonic-machines in my strat! Gonna be sweet  :icon_thumright:

Compared to EMG's?  I dunno, I find that they have a bit more dynamics that the EMG's I have played.  On the flip side, the EMG's have always recorded well.  It is just that they have never had what I wanted when I was next to the amp.  The Nailbombs I have are aggressive enough for any metal I'd play, but still are loose enough that I can mess around with my old drunk rock roots.  I like them, but I think I would pass on another set because it is hard to justify the price.

They're not supposed to be a clone of EMGs... In deed they're made to sound like a passive pickup... But in the tone's neighborhood of what ZW plays

I don't think any passive PU can sound like an EMG. You just can't get that tightness & clarity with that kinda of output.

Regardless of what people say about EMG's being sterile, lifeless etc. I like them a lot.  :icon_thumright:
