I had this dream that I walked into a guitar shop and started playing an awesome bass - then just walked out with it and nobody tried to stop me.
Now I've got serious GAS for a bass just like it; unfortunately I don't think Warmoth would be able to give me exactly what I want unless I pay serious amounts for custom work. Also I looked in all the local guitar shops and I'm pretty sure I couldn't get away with just walking out the door with a guitar under my arm... :icon_jokercolor:
P-bass type shape, but a bit slimmer and sleeker. The Warmoth Dinky P would probably be just about right.
Chambered/thinline body with f-hole
Cream binding on body and around the f-hole
Dark transparent red burst finish (darkish red in the middle going to nearly black at the edges)
4 in line headstock - slimmer and prettier than a Fender but not as pointy as a Jackson.
P/J pickups
Tuned B-E-A-D
Sorry the dream didn't extend as far as knowing all the woods used - but the body looked a lot like swamp ash and the fretboard was very black and possibly ebony.
