Humbucker ring size

Does anyone know what size the humbucker rings need to be for a V-R build?  I am having some custom built but he seems confused by the numbers I give him which are the cavity size?  Not sure what he wants for sure.  I measured the cavity  size to be 2 7/8 x 1.625.  So what total outside dimension do I need?  Just add .25" to this will cover the spring hole/cavity area?

Stew Mac lists their humbucker mounting ring outside dimensions as 3-17/32" x 1-25/32" (89.69mm x 45.24mm).

Thank you for the help.  And this size works for Warmoth humbucker cavities?

Those dimensions are for a standard size Gibson style humbucker. If you order the body routed for standard humbuckers, then that size should work.

Yes, my rout was for "humbucker" my pickups will have covers.  So I should be good?

I would think so. However your best bet, if you have doubts, would be to either call or e-mail Warmoth and ask them to be sure.  :icon_thumright:
