Hi,

I had this body in wish list, but it's sold.

I'd like to order one like it, so I wonder how to choose alder grain pattern, so that when finished in transparent tirqouise it looks similar.

Find an alder body with grain similar to that in the showcase, then have it finished in Transparent Turquoise.
Closest your gonna get unless your order that exact body right now.

Well that particular one is sold, and I'm not sure of what the unfinished pattern looked like.

These are unfinished strat alder bodies, I have no idea which would look like the one I posted. Maybe someone more experienced can chime in.

And, btw, would roasted alder still result in same finish, or would it's yellowish hue affect it ?

Have a look at these search results for trans turquoise on any wood. It looks to be one of the colours that isn't affected too much by the wood (and Warmoth's current stock of alder appears pretty consistent anyway, with just a couple of darker ones).

Grain-wise, it doesn't look like there are any right now that are very similar to the one you'd been watching. So it's a case of either just finding one you like enough from current stock, or waiting for another one that really floats your boat to show up.

That's a nice one. I think roasted alder would look rather good. It would probably darken some but what the heck, it would still look awesome. You could also get roasted swamp ash, which has more grain definition and have that finished in trans turqoise but again it would be somewhat darker.

new color/finish I never thought of, nice!
Im thinking ocean finish on pale moon ebony top or some other wide grain pattern
