I want to replace the bridge humbucker on my epiphone les paul custom with something with a little more bite.  The stock pickup is very bland and doesn't seem to ring out very well.  I'm looking for a classic rock crunchy distortion pickup and it has to have a gold cover so it matches.  I'd like something really bright, the guitar has an alder top and rosewood fretboard w/mohagany body and neck.

I'm a big Seymour Duncan fan.  Check out this description:

I've got a JB in the bridge of my Epi LP.
Worked wonders, put it in about 10 years ago, havent looked back since.

Though nowadays I'd go for Bare Knuckles every time.
Expensive, but I'm worth it.

Well I decided to try a GFS mean 90  pickup and all I can say is...WOW!  I was kinda concerned cause it was so cheap, but man this thing sounds fantastic.  Took about 10 minutes to install it and it screams!  Really bright and full and very articulate.  It sounds like a cross between a P-90 and a humbucker.  It's definately the best of both worlds.  It's really quiet and I'm able to play anything from classic rock up to metal if I use a pedal.  I'm very happy with it, I'll maybe take some video and post it on youtube for anyone who wants to hear it.
