I went to the Spurs/Kings game and Manu hit a flying bat!
It was CRAZY...
In the 1st quarter, a bat flew down from the top of the building and terrorized the crowd. It made these dramatic swooping dives toward the seats. I thought it was remote controlled, but it was real for sure. The game stopped for a while because of it. The crowd was oohing and ahhing everytime it flew towards them. Women were screaming. It was great. I stood up and opened my arms to it (I was wearing a big orange Pumpkin t-shirt) and it flew right over me and straight up into the lights, where it disappeared.
A few moments later, it came back down to the court and started flying around the players! Many of them ducked and ran to get away from the bat. The game stopped again, while the players hid. Only one man, Manu Ginobli, stood firm. He reached out his hand, reared back and smacked the crap out of that flying rat. Knocked it right out and ''thump' onto the court. At that moment the crowd was probably louder than when Metallica was there a few weeks prior! Manu just reached down, picked it up and gave it to a helper who took it off the court.
It was a Halloween MIRACLE!
