Got together with some old friends who I haven't seen in a while and its always fun to see who knows what and try to find common ground, musically.

What are your "go-to" songs that most people know that you can have a blast jamming to?

I'll start......Cortez the Killer,  three chords and a lot of room.

Most anything by Social D, Rancid, Millencolin or the like. Angsty alterna-rock from the 90s (think Weezer or the Smashing Pumpkins). "Sweet Home Alabama." Sure, it ain't Zappa, but I guess it depends on the kind of circles you run in.  :laughing7:

Gotta throw this one on there too, I'm continually impressed with Warren.

Sunshine of Your Love, Why Don't We Do It In the Road, Crossroads, any good I-IV-V blues like Shame Shame Shame or Red House.

I like the riff behind the Venture's Walk Don't Run too. It's straight-ahead enough to pick up quickly and you can do some interesting things over the top of it.
