Indeed. I got to monkey with one for an entire afternoon. Walking away from it was a tearful experience.

A blown up Matchless (returned to the factory for warranty and subsequently lost when they went broke) was the inspiration to make the original Mayfly amps.

I had a Chieftain and a Lightning. There was a period when I wasn't playing guitar much, and I sold a lot of stuff I now wish I had kept - including those two amps. Aaarrrggghh!
