New here.  HI!  I've been looking for while and gitty to be here now.  I'll share my new project: tbass, walnut body with wenge top.  Here's how it unfolds:  I carefully sliced limes for suds and cheers to you.  Going for the first wrapping of tape, I noticed an open tape brace.  Quick photo  that to present to my mailman, just if...  All good otherwise. Proceeded.  Opened the box: :glasses9: Bio degradable styrofoam AWESOME.  Some messages from my new friends at W.  Sweetness ensued in my mouth from the brew and limes.  HELLO.

Dec 21st.  It's my gift to myself.  My GF gave me binoculars.  Zif didn't have those!  The body will be matched with indian rosewood board laying on wenge.  The theme is something of a barnyard.  Dirty (unfinished), broad (tonewise), and slightly distorted on the top the (rusty hinges).  HMM, here are more pics.  Barnyard soon to join the family....

Thanks!  This bass will actually receive a few coats of tung oil cut with citrus thinner.  :icon_scratch: Just enough to protect slightly but not affect the overall theme/look.  I am looking to add a little amber or yellow, to appear slightly aged.  However, I want to add to the tung oil mixture.  Any ideas?  BTW the rosewood fretboard will get fat 6130 frets.

This looks amazing! But I think the fingerboard would be better if it were Ebony, because Rosewood can look lighter in color than Wenge and would be weird, IMO...

But hey, this is going to be a SICK bass!

Great to see another BASS project 'round here - good fortune to you!  It reads out like it will be killer

Im looking forward to this build.  I mmer looking for ideas on this site for wenge slash walnut bodies for a tele bass, not so lucky.  So, here are more pics to enjoy.  This wood smells awesome, especially that walnut.  Here are some addiitional pics for those looking for a close-up.  BTW, this barnyard bass will take a fralin split coil p.  Overwound, of course.  Strong like my coffee.  YUM. Thanks again!
