FS: GOLDTOP Tele Deluxe Body.
Lightweight mahogany, USACG body, MJT aged Nitro finish.
Specs:
• Mahogany Tele Deluxe Body
• Maple Top
• Cream Binding
• Aged Goldtop, Nitro
• Aged Natural back, NItro
• Strat Neck Heel
• Fits wide-range and regular humbuckers
• Drilled to fit narrow (humbucker) spaced "modern" bridges.
Body: Up for sale is a Mahogany Goldtop Tele Deluxe Body. I custom ordered the body from USACG. Rob hand selected a piece of super-lightweight mahogany for me. This body weighs in at 3 pounds 13 ounces, which is crazy light for 'hog, and equates to a very comfortable weight for the assembled instrument. The tone of the body is awesome. Resonant. Loud. Big midrange. The binding is aged cream. Maple Top.
Paint: The finish is aged Nitro Lacquer, Goldtop gold, done by Mark Jenny at MJT finishes. He knocked it out of the park, with some awesome horizontal checking lines, and just the right amount of wear.
Condition: The body is not "new". It has been gigged, and some of the buckle rash on the rear is natural - combined with the relic'd rash as well. (just makes it more authentic). On the whole, the body is in excellent shape (for a relic).
Modifications: Nickel string ferrules installed. The only "modification" done was to rout small holes, to allow long-leg vintage humbuckers to with, with full length adjustment screws/
Reason for selling it? I've come to realize that I just don't get along with tummy-cuts on Teles.
Total cost of this body
Body: 205
Lam Maple: 90
Binding: 72
Finish: 275
Total: 642
I'm looking to get $375 shipped.
PLEASE NOTE: I've taken pictures of the body assembled as a complete guitar,
but the price listed is for the BODY ONLY. No hardware is included except for the installed nickel string ferrules.
