Hi all,
I'm new here, so I'm not entirely sure this is posted in the correct section. But here goes
My Gecko 6 is finished, aside from replacing plastic truss- and cavity covers with wood versions). I've already played it quite alot and I'm content with intonation and overall neck relief. I notice, however, that my neck shows more relief along the bottom part of the neck (along high C string) than the top (along low B). I believe I've done my adjustments to the two rods symmetrically. Is this merely a natural effect of the compund neck shape (bottom edge is thinner and bends more) or should I do something about this? Like tightening the one rod (the lower one) a bit more?
I hope I'm making sense
Thanks!
