I think I may try some stuff with this just to see how it works for natural binding/clean line type stuff.

According to http://frogtape.com/How%20FrogTape%20Works.aspx (warning - loud music in the video) it looks like Frog Tape's special properties depend on interaction with the water in latex paint for its efficacy - I dunno if you'll get any better result with a non-water-based finishing product and Frog Tape than you'll get with blue masking tape, or any other masking product.  I'd be interested in your results if you try it, though.
