Fretless slide rig.

Thought I'd show off my fretless. This is a Squire Affinity I had kicking around. I gently pulled off the frets and used maple edge band to fill the slots. I coated the fret(less)board in the CA glue and sanded out most of the radius for a flat fretboard. The action is super low because there's no frets to hang my slide up on. I find myself playing it quite a bit and I'm getting ready to rewire it for more tone options.

Very Nice! Unusual color combo, but it works. Excellent job on the neck... :headbang: :headbang:

Cool project - I like what you did with the maple edge bands.
I've been meaning to dedicate a one of my guitars for slide, but don't intend to go fully-fretless like you did, though!

It started as an experiment in fretless-ness but I didn't like how the lack of frets dampened the tone. I realized it would make a perfect slide guitar and haven't looked back. It's tuned to DADF#AD. I use flat wounds on it and a heavy brass slide and I love the way it sounds!
