It's unfinished roasted flame maple--the light was a bit dim and I'm not a particularly good photographer. I'm really happy with the figuring and the ziricote looks and feels much better than I could have anticipated. Can't wait to complete the build!

I got really lucky--that body was in the showcase, but unfinished (and unrouted). When I picked the neck (also from the showcase) it's look is what nudged me towards the clear-to-brown burst (black in the back). I kinda' sorta' didn't know what it was gong to look like until I unboxed it--needless to say I'm pleased with the result.
