Here’s an article about a new(?) blade switch.
Not a 3-way and not a 5-way, but a 6-way.

Great idea.  On a strat set-up I'd have the trad 5, plus neck and middle in series.
For a two pick up guitar, I'd have the trad 3, plus, series, series out of phase, and para out of phase.

I think you might need more than just this switch to accomplish some of that.

On the freeway switch they can do it ...

Here's a good 5 way diagram

The six position switch will not be able to do that. It may have six positions but not enough poles to do more than basic wiring. You would either need to use it in combination with another switch or look at a Freeway blade switch.

The good thing about the switch in this thread is that it does give easy access to a neck and bridge combo on a strat but keeps things simple for those not wanting more complex combinations.

A bridge/neck position on a 3-pickup guitar. Good find.

But now I have to build another guitar (in addition to the two I have in the works at this time). :laughing7:

I just recently installed a blend pot in the Tone 2 spot on my Strat. I modified the pot so it is “no-load” at 0 and as you roll it up it introduces the neck pickup in switch positions 1 and 2. I’ve really been digging that, the bridge with around half of the neck is a cool sound, just smooths the edges. I love this stuff.
