Finally upgraded my Fender MIM Cabronita with an ultralight swamp ash body, finished in Wartmoth's ultra cool Blue Ice metallic! TV Jones Classic neck and Power'tron bridge. I'll try to take a few daylight shots tomorrow.

This is a pretty piece. I have a blue ice Tele body here that I wasn't overly excited about at first, but the finish grows on you. I'm still agonizing about what to do for a neck, but this one with the Maple is pretty sweet. What stops me is I don't like finished fretboards, so I'm thinking of going in the opposite direction to jet black Ebony. Maybe bound to match the body.

I bought an extra WBW guard as well as the BWB. I prefer the black one.

I like the B/W/B 'guard on there, but given the lighter body color and the lighter neck, it sorta stands out and unbalances the thing. On the other hand, it offers some contrast. Tough to say. Have to see it both ways to decide.

Boy, it's tough to say. But, I think maybe your first instinct was right - go with the black.

Black echoes the dot markers on the fingerboard.  I'd go with that.
