I would call to see what can be done.
A carved-top body with a fancy top requires a thicker piece of figured lumber than the standard flat-top body. The latter is an eighth-inch-thick laminate that can be bent over the forearm carve; the former is something like a half-inch to three-quarter-inch slab that's glued to the body blank. While the workflow is well defined for carve-top tele bodies, and was also well developed for LP bodies while they were offered, perhaps the carved-top soloist has not had the requisite workflow defined - or maybe they just need you to make a phone-order to get it done.
