First Warmoth - A few questions

Hi,

I am planning on purchasing parts for my first Warmoth.  It will be a short scale Jazz bass body and Warhead 30" neck.  I want to use Fender N3 Noiseless Jazz Bass Pickups and have the bridge pickup routed for the 70's bridge pickup reposition.  My 2 questions are 1. does anyone know if the Fender Jazz bridge cover plate will fit properly on the Wartmoth SS body using this routing option?
2. Will Fender jazz bass pickguards fit the Warmoth SS Bass body?

I would also be very grateful if anyone can give me a complete list of what I will need to order in the way of electronics for this type of bass, such as the pots, wiring, shielding, etc...

If you're after a passive wiring diagram Seymour Duncan offers that portion.  The wire colours will vary because you're getting Fender pups, but otherwise will wire up the same.

So hardware wise, if you're going with the aforementioned diagram you'll need 3x 250k pots, 1 output jack and some wiring.
Shielding is a personal choice. Whilst some feel it is necessary, others say it is rubbish and does nothing.  It's up to you.

Coverplates can vary from maker to maker but if you get both from the same maker they should work well. I wouldn't mix & match pickguard & control plate due to slight variances.
The phrasing on the pickguard page for the Jazz bass says
The bridge pickup relocation doesn't interfere with the pickguard portion, so that won't matter when considering pickguards.

* This pickguard fits most J Bass® bodies with original vinyl pickguards. It will not fit the Fender® Reggie Hamilton bass, Fender® Blacktop J Bass®, Fender® Mark Hoppus J Bass® and may not fit some Mexican or low-cost import models.
Which infers that you should be okay.

IIRC, the small scale stuff is a different pickguard.  Warmoth's pickguards obviously fit their stuff, as well as the USA Fender stuff, but the shorter scale stuff is different.

Oh yes, I forgot this was short scale.  Best to get both from Warmoth, I'd suspect.

Thanks so much, that wiring diagram is just what I need, much appreciated. I think I will go with Warmoth control plate and Fender pickguard (if it fits).
One other question, does anyone know if the the larger Fender tuners will fit into the BML lite holes that are drilled for the SS Neck?

I own a MIM Fender Geddy Lee Jazz and when I went to mount aFender Bridge cover, I had to mount it a the extreme bottom of the body and the pickup slightly sticks out after it is mounted.  That is why I was curious as to how the bridge cover would fit over the bridge using the 70's bridge pickup reposition.
