So I just played my first show with my new band (my first actual show in front of a crowd - 50 or so people) at the Ninkasi in downtown Quebec City. It was part of a quasi-open-mic night thing; we went on after a jazz band with a melodica player, a folk-playing metalhead, and a really awesome house band. Point is, two songs in, the sound cuts out on my guitar right before my guitar solo!
Now I'm not playing my guitar, my amp, or my rig (house instruments), so obviously I have no idea what the problem is. So I look at the sound guy, who waits until the song is over to try and fix it, while I'm left up on stage pretending to play in hopes that the sound will magically return.
However, our other 4 songs went off with out a hitch, and we totally rocked the house. The crowd was also really into it, which was awesome.
Basically, I just needed to whine a little; after all, isn't that why man invented the Internet?:laughing7:
