First Build. Getting Started!

I've been checking out these forums while planning and purchasing all the needs and wants for building my 1st Strat. I'm excited to say that as of yesterday I began my 1st build.
My build will consist of the following:

I ordered the neck separately from the body. This worked out great because the neck only took 2 weeks to arrive via UPS from the date I ordered it. I haven't received the body yet - I believe it's still having the finish applied at Warmoth. This gives me the opportunity to get a jump start on the neck. I haven't done much yet, and I may not even need to...the neck is beautiful as it is!
I'm really looking forward to the build just as much as having the finished product! I'm a disabled veteran, so I tend to have a lot of time on my hands; needless to say I won't be in any type of rush to finish.

Timmsie95, the image of the heel plate in your signature caught my eye and I just had to order one for my first build. I really love how the Black heel plates look, but in my case all my hardware is gold, so that's what I went with. Lazrart does a top notch job.

The body I have on order can't arrive soon enough!

That looks very nice! Yeah, I love my plate. They do a great job.
I'm also waiting for my body and neck to show up, just ordered them on monday. The wait is killing me, and I still have a looong time to wait!

Here's the completed guitar. It plays and sounds incredible!

I've been playing it non-stop at practice and gigs and I can't say enough about how fantastic the tone is. I'll get it cleaned up since I just used it at a gig and snap a few better quality close up pics asap.
