Finish cracking on different woods?

I got an alder body from Warmoth a year ago or two and that thing started to crack the finish soon after arriving to Sweden.

Would an ash body behave in the same manner?

Basswood and mahogny shouldn't behave like that, since they are quite different grainwise.

Also which one of these woods expands and shrinks the LEAST in different temperature/humidity?

I've had a basswood soloist body with Floyd Rose for 3 years and have never experienced any issues, but if I'm going for a OFR body again, I might go for something even better. I still like the weight of basswood tho, and no, I'm not interested in a chambered body ;)

Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I would care about the shrink/expanding cracks; I don't mind actual damage, dents and scratches at all... :tard:
