Finally got this one done!

It was a long time coming but it was put together at the same time as Max was.  This bass is very bright and articulated. It wound up being much more impressive sounding than we all anticipated. In fact we are blown away by how nice it sounds.  Here are the specifications.

1. Light weight 2-piece center join Swamp Ash body.
2. Birdseye Maple Showcase J-Bass neck that had the headstock re-cut to match the Tele headstock of a P-Bass.  1 ½ bone nut, with 6100 frets.
3. The finish is McFadden’s nitro lacquer.
4. Bridge is the Goto that is discontinued.
5. The pots are RS Guitarworks 280K super pot for volume and a 250K for Tone.
6. The capacitor is a Lux vintage style phone book cap.
7. The pickup is a very impressive sounding Loller.

It only has four strings?

Looks AWESOME!

How dose it play?

Clean and simple. Awesome.
This is a bass you'd hang at knee hight and play with a pick, tearing the house down.

I'd love to hear how it sounds.

Wow - that's a nice bass!  I'm beginning to think about a Tele with full Maple Neck now... Just as a guitar-building friend of mine said recently - this hobby makes you an addict. A few weeks ago I thought, when I have build my own bass I am cured from G.A.S. and will never want to buy another one. But... buying is one thing. Building is something completely different... Is there something as P.B.S. ? Planing and Bulding Syndrom?
