Pickups work. Thanks, updown!
weird thing is - I had to turn the pots all the way "down" to get the volume "up" so there's probably one or some leads switched somewhere between pickups and volume pot. Each individual pickup responded though when I held another guitar upside down over it.
Neck pocket has illegible red stamp that ends in "1993". It can't really be a fender though, right? I'd see some sort of Fender name in the neck pocket? I also see some black finish overlap over the lip of the pocket which you would not see from Warmoth or fender so I guess it could also be a parts or a refinish - my first guess was Squier but maybe not. The research I did on pickups marked "fender lace sensor" reports that they're Lace Sensors before they did mostly aftermarket. Which means these pickups probably came from an early to mid nineties strat. While the date on the neck pocket jibes with that I would say the odd pickguard assembly (upside down pickups, misplaced leads, etc) points more to a cannibalized partscaster. I got it in a trade with a couple other things and this was really just a bonus. i could save the pickups but I have a strat and probably won't have another, leastaways single coil style, so this goes up. Let me know if you want it and we'll make it happen fast.
