I've recently purchased a set of these, and when they arrived in the mail, the pickups were loose in the packaging. Written on the packaging is which position each pickup is, if they were sitting properly in place. I've read a few posts that it doesnt matter where single coils are positioned on the guitar, as long as the middle pup isnt reverse wound, which I dont think CS 69's are. Can anyone verify this, or provide some input on this issue?

Here are a few shots of the pups.

You can always check the resistance with a multimeter.  This does not definitively prove anything, but in general, the higher resistance pickup will be the bridge.  If they are all the same resistance, well, then, put them where you please.

According to Fender, Amazon, and Musician's Friend pages all 3 pickups are the same, no RWRP.
Place them where you'd like.

I think the box is letting you know it's for all three and not the tele set.

I can tell you by looking at how the winding starts and finishes that they are both wound the same. That plus that the black and white wire are terminated the same on each pickup makes them all the same. They should all be south pole up, wound clockwise.

You could look at each coil and be able to tell if one is wound hotter or they are all the same. Also weighing them, manually or by scale will give you an idea about how much wire is on each coil if you don't have a meter.

From the first picture, I would bet the one on the left was the neck, and the one on the right was the bridge.

Thanks for the info guys, the wealth of knowledge on here is awesome!
This will definitely help me out. Unfortunately i'm away from home for work until late next week, the build and cold beer waiting for my return. :occasion14:
Thanks again,
Roger

I've got a pair of these in mine and they're great. You'll love them. And as everyone has said, they are all the same.  :occasion14:
