I started writing this during post-production work for my last full-length album while diddling unplugged on my brother-in-law's Parker (import, non-Fly) in Open C. I recorded 6 quick videos of demos in 3 days, and those videos morphed into this EP.
I intentionally set out to keep the clean tones separated from the dirty tones to see if I could play with texture and perceived "heaviness". I also tried to tell three separate stories with the music: the even tracks, the odd tracks, and then the tracks sequentially. As heady as that sounds, the music really wrote itself rather organically without much fiddling and tweaking. I think I spent more time drawing the cover art than writing the music (I currently hate feathers and rocks).
I'd really like to hear what you all think of the work, it's available streaming or a PWYW download (the image is the link).
