One can only hope.  :headbang:

REAL blues based riff rock n' roll played live. No pro tooled quantized BS. Just boys with guitars, for a lack of a better analogy, ROCKING OUT!!! I miss those days & I'll be buying their album tomorrow.  :headbang:

Eh. No thanks. Exactly the kind of boring blues-based rock I avoid like the plague at all times.

when I read Karl's comments, I thought I was going to hate it and turn it off after 1 minute, but I actually enjoyed it..
they are far from original, but they sound not bad at all.

oh crap, and then I read this:

"Rival Sons advocate veganism and spirituality along with classic rock and roll.[8]"

a band should not advocate anything and definitely not tell me what I can or can't eat!!!

I don't care if these guys advocate oregami with ladyboys in Newark. They're so much better than ANY new hard rock band I've heard in years.

If you grew up on classic hard rock as I did: Stones, Led Zep, Deep Purple, Kinks, Hendrix, Cream etc, this is right up your alley.

Now, if you're into Death From Above 1973...well, you may want to pass.

Sounded like same ol' same ol' to me.  :dontknow:  Wasn't bad, but not very interesting.

I liked that guy's blue Firebird though.  :toothy10:

Ah ya damn crazy kids with your new fangled music, portable walkmans, & Betmax machines.

They call it classic rock for reason.

And if anybody looks to find something "new" in the rock-genre - even in the broad sense - they be at least 20-30 years too late. You'll have to look elsewhere.

And if I should consider music in relationship to what the artists opinions about food, religion, sex, politics, fashion etc. is - there wouldn't be much left to hear. I'm glad I have the ability to filter that out.

Yes - these kids rocks an established done-to-dead genre ... with all the cliches and musical standards that belong there. They do that well.

Feel free to post anybody in the fresh doing it better. No covers please.  :guitarplayer2: :rock-on:

I liked Grand Funk Railroad a lot! When I was 11... I'm not sure these guys could win a "Battle of the Bands" though, that Mark Farner was something.

Who cares what a band advocates? I listen to music for music, not to get a dose of politics/religion/social commentaries/etc...
I know of many bands that advocate things you don't like, that you still enjoy.

I think Radiohead are doing amazing things with the "rock" thing, but I have to confess I don't listen to music much at the moment. I think it's because I play so much with our band?

It was just a joke you slag... me being a carnivore etc..

You're eating way too much meat. You would be a lot more hilarious if you adopted a proper spiritualist vegan lifestyle. :dontknow:

If God didn't want man to eat animals - why did he go and make them out of meat?:headbang1:

WROARRRGH, etc.

I don't eat much of it, because of the way it's polluted in the raising process - don't like steroids and antibiotics? Too bad... but I am interested in interesting points of view, and some musicians are highly intelligent. However, the assortment of "points of view" these days seems pretty static - they're pretty much all used up, borrowed, tatty and shopworn.... I wish some highly intelligent musician would come along who lived entirely on beryllium chips or something.
