EMG Humbucker Fit in Pickguard

I was planning on getting a gold anodized aluminum pickguard for my next strat build.  Is there anything unusual about how an EMG humbucker fits in a pickguard?  Or is it just like any other humbucker?

I've fitted EMG humbuckers in pickguards without an issue
But in some humbucker rings for rear routed guitars, I've sometimes had to file the rings hole bigger

So it can depend. EMGs usually a liiiiitle bigger than a regular humbucker, but not bigger than humbucekrs with plastc/metal cover

I think as long as you don't select the "Fat humbucker" option, it will fit right in there, very snugly.

Don't take my word as gospel though, I haven't used a Warmoth guard with EMGS, but I did use one with metal covered humbuckers. I have used those same metal humbuckers in my SG with a pickguard, and I HAVE used EMGs in that pickguard as well.

So if A=B, and B=C, then A=C right? Just my observations.

EMG humbuckers are the same dimensions as any common covered humbucker. They will not fit the space of a covered SD 'trembucker', Fender Wide Range or uncovered humbucker. Make sure your pickguard is cut for a covered, regular humbucker.

Same goes for EMG Strat, Tele and P90 pickups. (Though Gibson make their P90s routes a little different, so EMGs won't fit those.)

The only EMG pickup which does not fit the industry standard dimensions of its type is some of their older 7-string pickups, which use a form factor more like a P90. However, EMG have started making 7-string humbuckers in regular sizes, too.
